Monday, September 16, 2024 has been proclaimed by Mayor Laura White-Brown and Rowan County Judge Exec. Harry Clark as National GED Day.

The Morehead State University Adult Education Program in Rowan County has offered free GED preparation services in the Commonwealth since 1967, and is the first county here to do so.

The GED test plays a crucial role in providing individuals with the opportunity to earn a high school equivalency credential, opening doors to higher education, better employment opportunities and increased economic mobility.
