Morehead Parks and Recreation announced today, Wednesday, May 29, 2024 the opening of the first community Pickleball Court. The court is located on 1st Street, right by the Cora Wilson Stewart Moonlight School. This new addition will serve our residents in many ways. It will help people get active, learn the fastest growing sport in America, and can foster community with new Pickleball friends.

Participates are required to bring their own equipment and it is a first come, first serve court. It is open to people of all ages, who can play a game similar to table top tennis. If you are needing the official rules of the game, the USA Pickleball organization has a website full of great information. You can find more about the sport at https://usapickleball.org/
